It was a lovely New Year’s Eve spent with my family and attending church service bringing in the New Year! There is so much to be thankful for and many things to hope for. I spent December 31st shopping like so many of the residents that live here in Staten Island (NY). The stores were filled with shoppers out and about. I spent a good deal of my time at Barnes and Noble. I love looking for magazines and books and was quite happy to see Flow magazine and journal packet there. I picked up a new calendar book for the year and as I was looking at other magazines I came upon a magazine called The Sewing Box. It’s a great little magazine. You can view it on issuu from the website
Have you tried adult coloring books yet? They really have you slow down and have a moment of calm and contemplation on colors. Contemplating color and using them can bring about many moods and I find myself seeking colors to use that will lift or relax my mood when I color. Amazing!
I also completed two cowls while watching Downton Abbey again. I am watching the whole series in marathon until the new season on Sunday, January 3rd. This show is so wonderful. In the morning, I made a berry cobbler from Homemade Decadence from Joy the Baker’ s cookbook. It was so, so good.
